TOPIC: Meditation on the living Word of God

TEXT: Psalm 1:1-3

AIMS:

i. to study the mode of meditation and

ii. to expatiate on the importance of mediation in keeping the track of our Christian race.

INTRODUCTION

Running within the track is very important if one must win a race without been disqualified. The power that can keep us within track of Christian journey can only be gotten from meditating on the word of God. Meditation means; taking time out to be alone with God by studying the scripture, praying and even singing alone in His presence. There are various modes of meditation; however, they must be based on the word of God and His commandments.

CONCLUSION:

As Christians, the more we devote time to meditating in the word of God and on His purpose for our lives, the more we remain on the track of our race to the kingdom of God.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Meditation on God’s word is the easiest way to drive away sin.

MEMORY VERSE:

Phil 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things".
